Corona in My Coffee Cup
A Little Old Fashioned
Fish & Chips
Jon had quite the summer!
In addition to “Corona In My Coffee Cup” reaching #4 on the easy listening iTunes Charts, opening slots for Granger Smith, Clare Dunn, and Aaron Lewis were great chances to play in front of thousands of country music fans. Thank you to Kix 100.9, all the great performers, and especially Tim Van Epps and Kirsten Wedegartner of Crumpin Fox & Sandri, Nabil Hannoush of Shortstop Bar & Grill, and everyone that helped make these events happen! One last note from Jon – if you haven’t checked out Anna Lemme yet, catch her video and then follow the link to iTunes to download her single.
See you all next summer!
I began this new project with my friend, Peter Adams, on pedal steel guitar and his wife, Kathy Lampro Adams, was kind enough to film the beginning of our recording project. While this song has been in my set lists for awhile, it has never been recorded until this point. Let me know if you’d be interested in more music like this, and please feel free to share this video if you like it!
Peace and thanks,
Well, finally called back up to the @theahl (kinda), as I’ll be playing at the @mm_center for the @thefalconsahl @springfieldfalcons (kinda) – well, the national anthem – this Sunday! The Falcons will be taking on the Albany Devils – Don’t miss it!
Last Spring, I was closing out my first year of grad school, and came to the realization that I had the opportunity, time, and financial need to pick up summer shows. I reached out to a few people, and posted to Facebook… And wow did you respond!
With your help and support, I performed 50 shows this summer, and that is a great summer job! Thank you to Chef John of Papps, Cathy Kelly of Michael’s Pasta in the Pan, Derek Panaia of the Rapids, Suzanne Boniface, Nabil Hannoush of Shortstop Bar & Grill, Aaron Lewis of Staind, Tim Van Epps and Kirsten Wedegartner, Bill of 7B’s, and The Westwood for having me in to entertain your guests. It is an honor and responsibility I take seriously.
However, the hockey season and academic year is starting again, and it’s back to the ice rink and classroom for me. In addition, I’ll be undergoing surgery in both hands at New England Baptist Hospital on September 4. It seems that what began as tingling and numbness were signs of carpal tunnel syndrome – which is now at the severe stage. I’ll be unable to play for a little bit… And then I’ll be in the studio in Vermont with Ryan Dubois beginning my next record. But I’ll make sure to post here when I am playing again.
Thank you again, try to make it to one of these two dinner shows, and see you next summer!
Wow, who would’ve thought that this would be the fifth time opening for Aaron Lewis of Staind?!? The annual Aaron Lewis Invitational Golf Tournament on August 1st was a great opportunity to raise money and contribute to the It Takes A Community Foundation. It is an honor to be asked to perform for such a dedicated group of fans, many of whom have become friends.
If you haven’t seen Jon perform in a while, there are plenty of opportunities in the local Western Massachusetts area to catch him during the month of August. Just be sure to check the shows page, and say hey to Jon during the evening!
